The Mystic Krewe de St. Denis recently announced the King and Queen for the 47th Tableau & Ball. The theme of this year’s festivities is Fins & Fantasies. Reigning as King will be Dr. Christopher Scott Godfrey and as Queen will be Miss Gabrielle Virginia Godfrey.
Christopher Scott Godfrey
Christopher Scott Godfrey will reign as King of the 2025 Mystic Krewe de St. Denis Tableau and Ball. He is married to the former Aline Devaille Carbo, and has two children, Andrew Scott Godfrey and Gabrielle Virginia Godfrey.
Scott graduated from Natchitoches Central High School in 1992 and earned a degree in biology from Northwestern State University in 1997. He completed his doctoral degree in dental surgery from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 2005. He is the owner of C. Scott Godfrey, D.D.S., a private general dentistry practice in Natchitoches. Scott has current membership in the American, Louisiana, and Central Louisiana Dental Associations, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Ark-La-Tex Academy of Dentistry.
A member of the Mystic Krewe de St. Denis since 2013, Scott has served as a Board Member since 2018. He has been a Troupe Lieutenant since 2019, and was a Float Chairman in 2018. He was honored to serve as a Duke of the Court in 2018 and 2024.
Scott enjoys traveling, exercising, duck hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He attends Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
Gabrielle Virginia Godfrey
Miss Gabrielle Virginia Godfrey will reign as Queen for the 2025 Mystic Krewe de. St. Denis Tableau and Ball. Gabby was previously presented as a Princess in 2015, a Lady in Waiting in 2023, and as a Maid of the Court in 2024. She is the daughter of Krewe member and Mrs. Christopher Scott Godfrey. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Larry Carbo, Jr., the late Mrs. Virginia Gravel Carbo, Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas Mathis, and Mr. William Earl Godfrey, Jr.
Gabby is a 2024 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School, where she served as class President, and was elected Homecoming Queen. Currently, she is a freshman at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she is majoring in textiles, apparel design, and merchandising. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Louisiana State University Fashion Association, Kappa Delta Sorority, and Christ the King Catholic Church.
This summer, Gabby will be attending the European Model Showcase in Paris, France. She will also complete an internship for Alivia in New York City.
