Crew (Preservationists in Training)—a unique opportunity for students in grades 10 through 12 to get involved in preserving our local heritage while developing hands-on skills that contribute to community revitalization and sustainable economic growth.

Created to inspire and empower the next generation of historic preservationists, the P.I.T. Crew allows students to restore and revitalize historic sites throughout Natchitoches. Members will gain practical experience, make a tangible impact on their community, and become leaders in preserving the legacy of Louisiana’s oldest city.

Minimum 3.0 GPA
4 service hours per year
Must attend 75% of monthly meetings
Parental permission is required for students under 18

With its guiding motto, “Preserve the past. Build the future.,” the P.I.T. Crew is more than just a service club—it’s a chance for students to turn a passion for history into purpose-driven action.
