Summer Placement Testing dates are now available for scheduling for required students enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year. Placement testing is designed to assess a student’s skill level in key academic areas such as reading, writing, and math to ensure appropriate class placement.
Testing Dates & Times:
May 27–29 and June 2–5 from 8AM – 2:30PM
NPSB Media Center – 301 Royal Street, Natchitoches, LA
Who Needs Placement Testing?
Students returning to public school from homeschool
Students transferring from private school
Students entering grades 1st–9th from either private or homeschool settings
Who Does NOT Need Placement Testing?
Students who were enrolled in Natchitoches Parish Schools during the previous school year
Students transferring from another public school district
Students entering 10th–12th grade from private or homeschool (must provide transcripts)
Placement testing ensures that each student starts the new school year in the most supportive and academically appropriate environment possible.
