The Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging is hosting a fan drive to help local older adults stay cool during the summer months. Community members are encouraged to donate new fans or make monetary contributions to support this vital effort.
Donations can be dropped off at the Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging, located at 1016 Keyser Avenue. All contributions are appreciated and will go toward helping seniors manage the rising temperatures.
A fan giveaway event is scheduled for Friday, June 27, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Council on Aging office. Seniors in need of a fan are encouraged to call 318-357-3250 for assistance.
The Council on Aging urges the community to come together to help protect vulnerable residents from extreme heat this summer.
