Robeline News: Festival prep, new library branch, sewer system progress

By Courtney Freeman

The Village of Robeline passed the resolution for the sewer bond ordinance this past Thursday. This puts the Village closer to being through the legal hoops required for work to begin. The new sustainable rate will go into effect and be reflected on your October sewer bill.

The Heritage Society will hold a meeting at 4:30 on Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Heritage building. We’ll be wrapping up all the loose ends for the festival next weekend. Be sure to put it on your calendar to come have a great time with us in Robeline.

I was also able to attend the quarterly library board meeting last Monday. The board voted to set the price limits for the properties in Robeline and Natchez. This was also approved later that day by the parish council in their monthly meeting. So hopefully by the next library board meeting in December the land will be purchased and plans will be ready for the new branches.
