Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing to investigate recent thefts of all-terrain vehicles reported throughout different areas of Natchitoches Parish, according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Security & Safety Tips for ATV Owners:
Never leave ATVs out in plain view
Always remove keys and never leave them in the ignition
Secure ATVs with heavy-duty locks, chains, or cables when not in use
Store ATVs in a locked building, garage, or behind a secured gate whenever possible
Install motion lights, alarms, or cameras around storage areas
Record serial numbers, take photographs, and mark ATVs for easier identification in case of theft. Be aware of slowing moving vehicles acting suspiciously and report it immediately to NPSO at (318) 352-6432.
The Sheriff’s Office is committed to investigating these incidents and encourages citizens to remain alert and practice good security habits to help deter theft.
