
A Robeline man wanted by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office since 2023 on felony rape charges was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Provencal City Marshal E. Upchurch contacted NATCOM 911 Center on March 14 around 4:01 pm reporting he was stopping a 2006 Ford Taurus for no license plate in the 1600 block of La. Hwy 117 in Provencal. Two people were in the vehicle, one identified as 55-year-old Jessie Paul Lee of Robeline. A NCIC Criminal History Background Check revealed Lee was wanted by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office since 2023 for 1st Degree Rape, a felony.
NPSO Deputies responded to assist. Lee was placed under arrest without incident, transported and booked into the LaSalle Corrections/Natchitoches Detention Center charged as a Fugitive wanted by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office for 1st Degree Rape.
St. Bernard Parish deputies are expected to pick up Lee in the next couple of days. Sgt. D. Caballero and Deputy A. Coon assisted the Provencal City Marshal.

Coon for assisting in safely taking this wanted individual into custody. Because of their teamwork and dedication to law enforcement, a fugitive wanted on serious charges is now off the streets and facing justice.”
