Natchitoches’ Front Street was transformed into a rollicking street party as Friends All United for Natchitoches’ Animals hosted the11th annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl on March 14. The popular event has become a fun local tradition as several hundred pub crawlers, many in colorful costumes, walked the length of Front Street. The partygoers visited businesses along Front St. to draw a card for the event’s poker run as well as enjoy food and drink specials. The revelers also enjoyed live music from two bands and a DJ who kept spirits high. A putting green, photo booth, and fiercely contested costume contest rounded out the St. Patrick’s Day fun.
The pubcrawl was more than a fun time however. Funds raised at the event will be used to further the mission of FAUNA in caring for our parish’s vulnerable animal population throughout the year. The event is expected to raise over $12,000.00 for this eminently worthy cause.
