Natchitoches Police identify suspects wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder

The Natchitoches Police Department has identified Duntai Magee (B/M, 22 y.o.a. of Winnfield), Joshua Hayes (B/M, 18 y.o.a. of Winnfield) and Kristian Johnson (B/M, 18 y.o.a. of Winnfield) as suspects wanted for a shooting that took place Sunday evening. NPD officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Short Seventh Street on March 15 around 6:07 pm in reference to gunshots in the area.  Upon officers’ arrival they were able to speak with several witnesses and locate evidence from the shooting.

After a thorough investigation detectives were able to secure arrest warrants for the following suspects:

  • Duntai Magee is wanted for Principal to Attempted First Degree Murder and Wearing Masks in Public Places Prohibited.
  • Joshua Hayes is wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of a Weapon and Wearing Masks in Public Places Prohibited.
  • Kristian Johnson is wanted for Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Use of a Weapon and Wearing Masks in Public Places Prohibited.
