Geaux 4 Kids delivers support bags to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office for children in crisis

Geaux 4 Kids made a stop in Natchitoches Parish this week, delivering care packages designed to support children facing crisis situations and victims of crime.

The organization provided “Geaux Bags” to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, where they will be distributed to children in need. Each bag is intended to offer comfort and reassurance during difficult moments, particularly in the early stages of trauma or transition.

Geaux 4 Kids representatives expressed appreciation to volunteers and law enforcement partners who helped make the delivery possible, noting the importance of collaboration in reaching children when they need support the most.

Founded in 2013 as a grassroots effort, the organization began by providing essential supplies to children entering foster care, recognizing the challenges often faced in the first 24 to 48 hours. Since then, it has expanded its reach and now works alongside communities, law enforcement agencies and child welfare organizations.

Geaux 4 Kids currently serves children across Louisiana and has expanded into Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The organization operates several initiatives aimed at supporting children in crisis, including Geaux Bags, Geaux Adopt and Just Be-Clause, all focused on improving the well-being of vulnerable youth.
