A vehicle fire on Interstate 49 southbound near milepost 154 resulted in the total loss of a 2019 Ford F-150 on the night of Feb. 3, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The fire, which was reported around 8:40 p.m., prompted a response from Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #7. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.
Law enforcement and firefighters remained on scene for an extended period, managing traffic and ensuring safety in the area. Deputy Lt. B. Remo assisted with traffic control while crews worked to handle the situation.
Drivers passing through the area were urged to remain cautious, avoid distractions, and stay alert while emergency personnel were present.
