Overturned commercial vehicle disrupts traffic on Highway 6

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and Louisiana State Police responded to an overturned commercial vehicle hauling wood chips on Feb. 2 around 12:30 pm on Hwy. 6 East near Memory Lawn Cemetery, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency personnel from Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #6, the Natchitoches City Fire Department, and the Natchitoches Police Department assisted during the initial response. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.

Deputies stated that traffic was reduced to one lane as law enforcement investigated the crash and crews worked to clear the wreckage. Motorists traveling through the area were urged to drive carefully, reduce speed, and remain attentive to road conditions.
