Natchitoches Central FFA had an outstanding showing at the 95th National FFA convention and Expo. During this week, students participate in the national day of service, made new friends, and rounded the week off with a national championship win! Students also had an opportunity to meet with industry leaders at Purina, John Deer, Pilgrim’s Pride, and BASF.
At the maple lawn farm stead students assisted in the beautification of the property. Students got an opportunity to see a bit of the countryside of Indianapolis, dig a trench and learn of Indiana’s rich history.
National Championship Marketing Plan team consisted of: Colton Conley, Caden Conley, and Kamia Pichon. (Pictured Advisor Kayla Rachal, Colton Conley, Kamia Pichon, and Caden Conley). This is only the 6th national championship for the state of Louisiana. Team members had to develop practical marketing skills while creating and presenting a marketing plan for a local agribusiness. The students then had to give a 15-minute presentation of their research and defend their marking decisions by answering a round of questions.
Overall, it was a phenomenal week, and each and every student learned vital skills they will be able to use in their future.
