The NCHS Boys Soccer team swung into action for their first game of the season against the West Monroe Rebels in a scrimmage on Tuesday, November 8. While the Rebels won 4-1, the young NCHS team got a chance to test themselves against an actual opponent, learn, make adjustments, and prepare.
The 16 young men of Chiefs’ soccer are continuing a solid tradition of athletic and academic excellence that stretches back over 20 years. Head coach Rusty Stultz has been at the helm of the program for 15 years while assistant coach Lincoln Hall has five years of service. Coach Hall is also an alumnus of NCHS soccer, a music teacher, and the director of the renowned NCHS orchestra.
The Chief’s will have another scrimmage on Thursday, Nov. 10 against Leesville at 6 pm. Their first home game will be Monday, Dec. 5 against Alexandria’s Holy Savior Menard at 7:30 pm.
Come on out and support these fine young men as they represent their school and our community. GO CHIEFS!!
