Oller and Fry to lead the Christmas Festival Parade as Co-Grand Marshals

The 2022 Natchitoches Christmas Festival Parade will have an All-American feel.

Former Northwestern State baseball All-Americans Adam Oller and David Fry have been named co-grand marshals of this year’s parade, which will roll through downtown Natchitoches on Dec. 3 beginning at 1 pm.

Oller recently completed his first season in the major leagues for the Oakland Athletics, appearing in 19 games, starting 14. A 2016 second-team All-American and Southland Conference Pitcher of the Year, Oller went 2-8 with wins against the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers.

A 20th-round draft pick of Pittsburgh in 2016, Oller became the first former Demon pitcher to earn a win in a major league game since Brian Lawrence in 2007.

Fry was a third-team All-American for the Demons in 2018, capping a senior season in which he also earned Southland Conference Player of the Year honors. He helped lead Northwestern State to its first Southland Conference Tournament championship and first NCAA Regional appearance since 2005.

Fry, a seventh-round draft pick of Milwaukee in 2018, finished his first year in the Cleveland Guardians’ organization, hitting .256 with 17 home runs and 74 RBIs at Triple-A Columbus.
