Jr. High JAG students hold food drive to beat hunger in Cenla

The Natchitoches Junior High JAG program hosted its 7th annual Christmas Cheer Food Drive Nov. 14-Dec. 7 to beat hunger in Central Louisiana. The Christmas Cheer Food Drive’s mission is to alleviate hunger in Central Louisiana.
The JAG members would like to thank the students, faculty and staff for their donations to such a worthy cause. To incentivize the students, a free dress down pass was awarded to the student(s) who donated 10 or more non-perishable items. The house/team that collected the most pounds was awarded a pizza party. That award was bestowed to The Boys to Men Club.
The Jobs for America’s Graduates Middle School Program helps 6th to 8th graders successfully transition to the next grade and from middle to high school. Specialists implement counseling, skills development, career association, and experiential learning to improve academic performance, school behavior, attendance, confidence, participation and self-esteem. Middle School participants improve leadership and effective team member skills.
