SWEPCO crews are working to restore service to approximately 9,600 customers in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas who remain without power after Winter Storm Elliott swept through the region Thursday and overnight. Outages are primarily due to strong winds and extreme cold.
At peak, more than 12,200 customers were without power between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday.
Estimated times of restoration for 95% of customers in these areas are as follows:
Natchitoches, Louisiana: 10 p.m. today, Dec. 23
Hornbeck, Louisiana: 5 p.m. today, Dec. 23
Mansfield/Logansport, Louisiana: 6 p.m. today, Dec. 23
There are no estimated times of restoration for customers in Shreveport, La., and the Texarkana area. Those will be shared once more information is available.
Remember to stay away and keep children and pets away from downed lines. Treat all downed power lines as if they are energized and dangerous.
