The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches met at their weekly meeting where club president Craig George gave updates on club business and upcoming events. The Natchitoches club sponsored the Kiwanis club in Red River Parish who will be having their charter ceremony on January 30th in Coushatta. George announced that the Kiwanians of the Month were Meghan Sylvia and Sarah Oubre for their great work on the club’s Christmas social. George introduced division 11 lieutenant governor Craig Caskey, who formally inducted Crystal Conway as a new member.

The meeting’s guest speaker was Michele Crosby, the Kiwanis district youth protection manager. Crosby reviewed the Kiwanis annual youth protection training with the club members because the club interacts with students of all ages in the community through their service leadership programs (K-Kids, Builders Club, Terrific Kids, etc.)
