The Natchitoches Parish School Board members voted Billy Benefield as the new President of the Board at its meeting on Jan. 12. Russ Danzy was voted in as the new Vice President.

Agenda items included:

Approve MOU between NPSB and City of Natchitoches amount not to exceed $32,000 effective January 31, 2023 to June 30, 2023.

Approve the 2021-2022 audit report as presented Jennifer Hawkins

Approve a resolution calling for a Special Called Election on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in School District #9 and Consolidated School District #8, to authorize the renewal of special taxes.

Approve Derrit Matt with a bid of a per acre price in year 1 of $20, year 2 of $20 and year 3 of $20 as winning bidder for Parcel #8100002000A.

Approve Transition Agreement and memorandum of understanding with Access Health/Cabrini Hospitals to operate school based health centers in Natchitoches Parish.

Adopt the LSBA Code of Conduct for Louisiana School Board Members.
