The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches met on Feb. 16 for their weekly meeting.  Club secretary Craig Caskey opened the meeting and gave updates on club events and news.  The club will be participating in the Service League of Natchitoches’ annual Reading on the River event on March 4.  Next week, the club will be celebrating the chartering of the new Kiwanis club in Leesville that the Natchitoches club helped sponsor in September of 2022.

 

Nettles Brown introduced the meeting’s guest speaker, Head Coach Jonas Brobeck of the Northwestern State Lady Demon Tennis program.  Brobeck gave a brief bio on each of the student athletes, discussed how recruitment for their program is unique, and talked about the upcoming schedule as well as the Southland Conference tournament.
