2022 Christmas Festival Financials

The Christmas Festival Committee reported a solid year for 2022. While numbers were slightly down from 2021, record crowds were still prevalent on the second and third Saturdays in December. A recent shift in 2021 marketing efforts was continued in 2022 with digital campaigns leading the ROI for the Season.

Entertainment was expanded on Friday nights with live music and the Second Annual Gospel Night. With much interest in Gospel Night from community groups and locals, an additional Gospel Night will be added in 2023 thanks to local sponsorship.

Cookies with Santa continues to be a favorite among many with sell-outs at each event. The famous Snow Hill was added to the lineup in December. Although a popular attraction, the costs far outweighed the profits made.

Supply issues and increased costs were heavily felt this year with not only day-to-day expenses but larger ticket items such as fireworks.

The Festival Committee is planning ahead for the 100th Anniversary which will be celebrated in a few short years. New ideas and additions to the Festival are on the horizon for the future.

The continued support of our sponsors, community partners, organizations, City personnel, volunteers as well as our Festival Committee all help to make the Season possible each year.
