The Ben D. Johnson Educational announce appointment of Dr. Ross Williams as new ED

The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Ross Williams Jr., as Executive Director reporting May 1, 2023.

Ross is an experienced educator, business leader, entrepreneur, author and philanthropist. “Education, service to others and philanthropy was embedded in my DNA from my parents (the late Ross Fisher Williams Sr., and Emma Robinson Williams) and I strive to continue that legacy.” (Dr. Ross Williams)

Dr. Williams is the Founder and CEO of MIT Global Enterprises, providing school improvement and support services with clear visions for what districts and schools across the state must do to ensure an excellent education for all students. Dr. Williams has a desire to make certain, all scholars receive the best that education has to offer, regardless of their socioeconomic status. It has been his ability to motivate, inspire and transform mindsets for those outcomes that has brought him his greatest inspiration. Therefore, he feels that there is no better place to continue his vision and share his experiences and expertise than the Ben Johnson Educational Center and his birthplace of Natchitoches.

Dr. Williams attended Harvard Business School and received his doctorate degree in Leadership Management. He served as Regional Director and District Coordinator for School Improvement.

The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is pleased to have Dr. Williams join our Team as Executive Director and lead the organization to the next level. We ask the city of Natchitoches to join us in welcoming Dr. Williams home.

Johnson Educational Center, (BDJ Center) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit in the west Natchitoches community that provides workforce training, certifications in Construction, Forklift Operations, 10 Hour OSHA, and ServSafe to individuals (17 and up) through their Legacy Workforce Development training program.
