ECN wins partial paid Bids to Nationals again, this time for 3 teams

Elite Cheernastics of Natchitoches is once again going to nationals but this year they won partial paid bids to the Emerald Coast Cheerleading competition in Pensacola, Fla. The exciting news is that this year bids were won for three teams. This includes a mini-level 1 team coached by Sonja Palmer, Jessica Lucky, and CJ Anthony. The Level 1 youth team is coached by Destinee Tucker and Tre Jackson. The Level 2 team is coached by Ambrosia Lawson and Karizma Moore.

ECN Owner and Coach Sonja Palmer went on to explain that the partially paid bids ECN has won are very hard to receive, since many teams compete for them. Coach Palmer wants to Thank the hard working athletes that train at ECN as well as the coaches, many of whom are former ECN competitors, such as Ambrosia Lawson, Destinee Tucker, Jessica Lucky, Karizma Moore, and CJ Anthony. Our Elite coaches have worked endlessly for years to master progressions and learn the ever-changing scoring grids at competitions.

Last year in 2022, two ECN teams attended the D2 Summit in Disney World and represented Natchitoches. ECN’s competitive gymnastics team also attended Nationals in Orlando.

“We are grateful for every opportunity and we teach children of all ages and ability levels and all diversities,” said Palmer.

ECN is a faith-based program that works tirelessly to raise money for its athletes to travel and compete in gymnastics, cheerleading, tumbling, and dance. Through the years Palmer, her coaches, and athletes have worked endlessly to raise money through fundraisers for competition fees and some equipment. Most equipment has been directly paid for by ECN, funded through tuition costs, business loans, business cc, etc…

Serving Natchitoches and the surrounding communities since 1996, ECN is located across from the NSU Elementary Lab School on University Parkway.

“Our competitive cheer and gym program has been growing for years and we are thankful and grateful for our amazing talented athletes and coaches and we love and support our amazing town of Natchitoches,” added Palmer.
