An eighth grader at St. Mary’s Catholic School, Alyssa Jayde Brewton took 2nd Place in the USA Powerlifting Louisiana High School State Championships on April 22 in Youngsville.
Alyssa went 9/9:
Squatting 215lbs
Benched 121.30lbs
Deadlift 270.01lbs
This was her first meet in the Teen 1 Division and she broke five State Records. She qualified for the 2023 Raw Nationals in September that will be held in Memphis, Tenn. Alyssa is ranked #1 in State and 9th in the Nation. In the last 15 months of competing in Powerlifting she has racked in 40 State Records.
