The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested Johnathan Robinson (B/M, 27 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) for Second Degree Murder and John Hickman III (B/M, 28 y.o.a. of Campti) for Principle to Second Degree Murder and Principle to Attempted Second Degree Murder.
On April 26, 2023 around 6:00 p.m., investigators with the Natchitoches Police Department were told that Johnathan Robinson was at a residence in the 200 block of Melle Street. The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office was able to locate the suspect and place him under arrest without incident.
On March 16, 2023 12:00 p.m., investigators with the Natchitoches Police Department were told that John Hickman III was at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Roubieu Street in Campti. Agents with the Natchitoches Drug Task Force were able to locate the suspect and place him under arrest without incident.
Johnathan Robinson and John Hickman III were placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.

Original Story: Natchitoches Police investigate homicide on Melissa Place
The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning on Melissa Place in Hidden Hills Mobile Home Park.
On December 24, 2022 around 12:17 a.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department responded to the 200 block of Melissa Place in reference to gunshots in the area. Upon officers arrival they located Loyd Brown Jr. (B/M, 27 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) and another victim who were suffering from gunshot wounds inside of a residence. As a result of his injuries Loyd Brown Jr. was pronounced deceased by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office. The second victim was transported to the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and later to a hospital in Shreveport for further treatment where they are listed in critical condition.
This investigation is ongoing and the Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
