City Council works toward improving M. Richardson Park

The Natchitoches City Council approved an agenda item at its May 22 meeting to advertise and accept bids for the Love Louisiana Outdoors Project, which will fund Professor M. Richardson Park improvements ($400,000). Work will include renovating restrooms, a quarter-mile hard surface walking track, new inclusive playlet, pavilion, basketball half-court, and more.

“I think the community is really going to appreciate this,” said Council member Chris Petite, who expressed his concern over the narrow street adjacent to the park.
