These Natchitoches Parish teens are members of the Texas High School Rodeo Association (THSRA) in Region V. Since August they have competed in monthly rodeos to earn points towards a year-end ranking. The year-end Region Finals Rodeo was held in April during which they each won in their respective events and qualified for the state finals.
They will compete at the Texas State Finals in Abilene, TX June 1-10, amongst 600 cowboys and cowgirls vying for a piece of $290,000 in payouts and $70,000 in prizes, along with a chance to advance to the National High School Finals.
