
Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies recently arrested a man and woman on felony drug charges near Flora according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
On Sunday evening, June 18 at approximately 9:30pm, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau were patrolling on La. Hwy 120 when they observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Flora Church.
Deputies stopped to check on the vehicle, a black BMW, when they observed a male identified as Caden E. Greene, and a female identified as Holly E. Outlaw seated in the vehicle.
Deputies say while speaking with Greene and Outlaw they smelled a strong marijuana smoke odor.
A local warrants check revealed that Greene was wanted by the 10th Judicial District Court on an outstanding bench warrant for Failure to Appear.
Greene was placed under arrest without incident.
Deputies asked both suspects if there were any illegal narcotics in the vehicle in which Outlaw reportedly replied “she had some marijuana in her bag.”
Deputies utilized Narcotics Detection K-9 “Roka” on the vehicle which gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a small amount of suspected marijuana, a syringe containing suspected methamphetamine in liquid form, an suspected methamphetamine in a small bag.
Deputies say when they placed Outlaw under arrest she allegedly became combative kicking one deputy and spitting in his face. Outlaw also reportedly threatened deputies saying, “she knew people and she would have their jobs.”
Both Greene and Outlaw were transported and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center on the following charges:
*Caden E. Greene, 19, of the 9500 block of La. Hwy 120, Robeline, La. charged with 1-count of Failure to Appear in Court and Possession of CDS Schedule II Methamphetamine.
Greene allegedly confessed stating the suspected methamphetamine belonged to him.
*Holly E. Outlaw, 34, of the 4700 block of La. Hwy 3278, Natchitoches, La. charged with Possession of CDS II Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS I Marijuana, Resisting an Officer, and 2-counts of Battery on a Police Officer.
Both Greene and Outlaw remain in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting bond.
Deputies say during the booking process, Outlaw wrote curse words on her paperwork.
The seized narcotics evidence will be submitted to the crime lab for analysis.
