The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches held its weekly meeting on Thursday, July 20 where club president Craig George gave updates on club news and upcoming events. Club secretary Craig Caskey gave a brief committee update on the October 7th 5K Color Run and Pancake Festival.
George introduced Sarah Burkhalter, Job Location and Development Officer with Northwestern State’s Career Center. Burkhalter discussed their mission to help current and former students by connecting them with employers through tools such as HandShake, a college career website. Burkhalter announced that NSU will host a part time employment career fair on September 6th that was well attended last year.
