School starts in Natchitoches Parish on Wednesday, Aug. 9. Sylvester “Sly” Moss and the Community Partners Committee will host the annual “Get them Ready” Back-to-School community expo on Sunday, Aug. 6 from 12-5 p.m. at Silhouette Barber Shop/Ben Johnson Auditorium, located at 440 Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. 

 

The annual expo will provide an opportunity for students to get FREE haircuts, school supplies, snacks, healthcare awareness and uniforms. The activity is open to ALL Natchitoches Parish K-12 students!

 

Community Partners Committee include: Gerald “GPlanz’ Besant, Oghale Elaye, M.D., Ben D. Johnson Educational Center,  Raising Cane’s Restaurant-Natchitoches, Ralph Wilson, Krewe of Excellence, Dumars Outreach Committee/Martha Dumars, “DJ-Royal,” and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.-Theta Delta Chapter at Northwestern State University.
