Young at Heart Luncheons for seniors resumed on Aug. 2 at the First United Methodist Church after a summer break.  Chris Wilson, Ben Rushing, and Keith Shirley entertained the group with a musical program of gospel, folk, and country tunes.  The Koinonia Circle provided picnic-themed decorations.

 

July and August birthdays were celebrated by JoAnn Collins, Leta Brown, Joyce Baird, and Scotty Dawson. July and August anniversaries were celebrated by Johnny and Cecelia Possoit,  Paul and Joyce Baird, and Harold and Peg Thomas.

 

Harvey Polk served as Master of Ceremonies, and Sonny Evans offered a prayer before the meal.

 

Young at Heart meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 11 AM in Bostick Hall.  The meeting is non-denominational, and all seniors re welcome.  Attendees are asked to pay a $5 fee or to bring a covered dish to share.
