The Natchitoches City Council recognized Harvey Polk at its Aug. 14 meeting. Polk is a resident of Natchitoches who is known for voluntarily picking up litter and keeping Natchitoches beautiful as he walks for exercise. He brings a bag and a grabber and collects litter as he walks with a smile on his face.
