Lakeview Jr. & Sr. High School hosted Jared Greer, a motivational speaker, on Aug. 14 to kick off our school year. Mr. Greer competed on American Ninja Warrior three times. He took those experiences and combined them with his love for helping others. The result was an action-packed motivational talk where students were able to run a “ninja warrior” style obstacle course. During his talk, “Overcoming Obstacles” Mr. Greer spoke to the students about dealing with the obstacles and roadblocks in their lives by having a positive mindset and a willingness to work through challenges in their lives. This was interspersed with races on the obstacle course between students and also between students and teachers. It was an entertaining and educational experience.
Lakeview would like to thank its community partner Fairview Baptist Church for facilitating this event and Mr. Greer for spending time with our students. Our students benefit when the community is an active participant in their lives.
