Provencal Jr. High band students enjoyed having William Hymes, NPSB Interest and Opportunity Specialist, as their band director this week. Hymes is no stranger to Provencal Band as he directed the school’s band for several years in the nineties before he transitioned to school administration. In those days the band maintained a membership of approximately 60 to 70 students. As a district leader, Hymes helped bring band back to the school last year. Provencal is currently looking for a full-time band director, but has certainly considered a treat to have Hymes serving students in the meantime!
