Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #9 and Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #3 responded to reports of a grass fire near the intersections of La. Hwy 6 East and La. Hwy 486 west of Clarence on Aug. 22 sound 1:10 pm.

 

Firefighters were able to contain the fire, however, a Fire District #3 firefighter was injured after falling from a fire truck.

 

The firefighter has been transported to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

We extend our prayers to the firefighter and hope for a speedy recovery. The injuries are reportedly non-life threatening.

 

A Burn Ban remains in place.
