Donors coordinate delivery of 50 AC units to Council on Aging

Recently, Natchitoches Attorney Billy West Jr. contacted Sheriff Stuart Wright indicating an anonymous donor wanted to donate air conditioners to help senior citizens in Natchitoches due to the extreme heat according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The coordinated efforts could not have come at a better time since temperatures have been at or above 100 degrees for the past couple of weeks.

Sheriff Wright contacted the Natchitoches Parish Council on Aging and they partnered together and agreed to distribute the air conditioners to senior citizens in need.

On Monday morning, Sheriff Wright and NPSO Deputies delivered (50) fifty air conditioners to the Council on Aging for distribution.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and Council on Aging has had a long-term partnership in efforts to helping senior citizens in Natchitoches Parish.  Deputies volunteer monthly to assist the Council on Aging during the distribution of commodities.

We sincerely thank the anonymous donor for this generous and kind gesture in helping our senior citizens in Natchitoches Parish according to Sheriff Wright.
