Candidacy Announcement: Michael Salard, Parish Council District 5

Michael Salard, candidate for Natchitoches Parish Council District 5.

I have called Natchitoches home all my life. I was born and raised in Cloutierville where I still reside. Starting back in 1992 I worked for DOTD on the highway department for 3 years. After working on the road I had the privilege to work at Northwestern State University as an electrician specialist where I retired. While still working at Northwestern I became a small business owner of Get-R-Done Lawn Service LLC in 2007 that I still manage today. I am an active member of the Grand Ecore Baptist Church. When I’m not working or at church, I love spending time with my family, I have two daughters and two beautiful grandchildren that I love dearly.

“I want to achieve unity within the council”

A united council can be a positive outcome for Natchitoches Parish. I will stay true to my Christian values by running a positive campaign and representing my parish the best of my ability. I plan to be a leader upon the council within my community, seeking to help develop this within our administration while creating clear pathways of understanding my constituents and the citizens in District 5.

I sincerely and humbly ask for your consideration and support on Election Day. I ask that you let your voice be heard on October 14 and vote #62. As a reminder, early voting begins on September 30 and ends on October 7.

I will not be a councilman who only appears during election time. I genuinely want to serve the people and that’s my commitment I bring to this role. I’m am running for the people of Natchitoches Parish because you deserve effective and accountable government.

Again, I appreciate your consideration on October 14 and hope to have the opportunity to represent District 5 as your new Natchitoches Parish Councilman 2023.
