Natchitoches Magnet is always proud of their students’ academic growth and ability and this year is no different. Magnet is a public Prekindergarten -8th Grade school in Natchitoches Parish.
Recently, the Louisiana Department of Education released the 2023 LEAP Test Data Results, and Magnet yet again proved they are on the rise. Remaining an A graded school, Magnet’s Elementary School is now ranked #9 out of 730 Elementary Schools in the state, while Magnet’s Middle School is ranked #6 out of 465 Middle Schools, according to schooldigger.com.
Stephonie French, Natchitoches Magnet’s Principal, stated at the Magnet Oscar’s, a celebration of student success, that “students are taking ownership over their learning, and we are seeing major gains in their achievement because of it.” Five current students scored a Perfect Score in one of the four content areas tested, while three students attained Advanced in all content areas, the highest achievement level possible.
