This week, Natchitoches Magnet’s 3rd Grade students, along with all 3rd Grade students across the parish, toured the sights of Natchitoches’ Historic District during the Association for the Preservation of Historic Natchitoches’ (APHN) Third Grade Children’s Historical Tour. Students visited sites such as the Prudhomme-Roquier House, Lemee House, The Minor Basilica of Immaculate Conception Church, Trinity Episcopal, First United Methodist Church, The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, and Cane River. 

Natchitoches Magnet’s 8th Grade students also participated in the tour by portraying historical figures in Natchitoches’ history to characterize what life was like in early Natchitoches for the 3rd Grade students. Students from St. Mary’s and NSU Middle Lab also took part in educating younger students about Natchitoches’ History.
