Monday’s Natchitoches Lions Club meeting on Oct. 16 focused on the Louisiana Lions Camp and the great work done there for over 60 years. The Natchitoches Lions Club has donated nearly $450,000 over the lifetime of the Camp. Ray Cecil, Camp Director, shared the camp’s main focus of providing an outdoor summer camp to children with respiratory disorders, special needs, juvenile diabetes and childhood cancer. Lions Camp is free for all families thanks to the generous donations made by supporters. Two recent fundraiser events were hosted by the Natchitoches Lions Club with all monies raised presented to Ray Cecil, on behalf of the camp, at today’s meeting. Natchitoches Lions Club have a goal of raising at least $500,000 in support of Lions Camp. Natchitoches Lion Mimi Stoker is currently serving as a Board Member of the Louisiana Lions Camp.
