Merrick Construction Company contacted the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office requesting motorists be informed that Hwy. 119, just east of Hwy. 1 South near Magnolia Plantation, remains closed to traffic.

 

Recently motorists have been traveling around barricades while the construction company attempts to move and put in place long metal beams along the road side. This causes hazards for the construction workers and motorists who have disregarded barricade road closure signs.

 

Deputies will patrol the area.
