Natchitoches Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force agents, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office CID, and Sabine Tactical Narcotics Team successfully apprehended Ty Metoyer, a wanted individual in connection with a federal conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Agents conducted surveillance and observed Metoyer departing his residence on Oct. 31 at approximately 12 PM. Subsequently, he was apprehended and taken into custody in accordance with the active arrest warrant.
Following the arrest, Metoyer’s vehicle was searched after he provided consent, resulting in the discovery of approximately one ounce of suspected methamphetamine. During the investigation, NMJDTF Agents executed a search warrant at Metoyer’s residence in the 1200 block of Welch St.
The following items were seized as a result of the investigation:
•Approximately 160 grams of synthetic marijuana
•Approximately one ounce of suspected methamphetamine
•Several hundred suspected ecstasy tablets
•3 suspected Suboxone strips
•Ruger LCP 380
•Approximately 60 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana
As a result of the investigation, Metoyer was charged with the following:
•3 counts of Poss. w/intent CDS I
•1 count Poss of CDS III (suboxone)
•1 count Poss. w/intent CDS II (methamphetamine)
•1 count Poss of CDS in presence of a firearm
•1 count Poss of drug paraphernalia
•1 count Poss of a firearm by convicted felon
Metoyer was placed into the NPDC with a return district court date of 12/4/23. Metoyer also has a federal hold on him as well.
