
This weekend the Natchitoches Golf Association held its first competition golf tournament at the Northwestern Hills Complex located in Natchitoches. The golf tournament was well attended with fifty-two individuals competing for prizes and the distinct honor of shooting the lowest score during fierce and friendly competition.

The event is the first of numerous upcoming golf activities planned for the upcoming 2024 golf season. Including, an annual city championship for both men and women, weekly men’s & woman’s golf league, youth lessons and a youth tournament.
“It’s been a few years since the Natchitoches community held an official golf tournament. These upcoming events are focused on bringing together the best golfers in our community and the desire to compete to promote the growth of golf in the Natchitoches Community,” said Steven T. Boyd, President of the Natchitoches Golf Association.
Mr. Jarrod Cox the general manager at Northwestern Hills shared, “He is very excited about the enthusiasm the Natchitoches Golf Association is bringing to help promote the game of golf and help drive more activity to Northwestern Hills.” David Levy as a participant of the event was quoted in saying; “The attention given to the greens has made the Northwestern Hills a great place to come play golf.”
The Natchitoches Golf Association is a non-profit organization with the mission to promote partnership between the community and Northwestern State University to advance the game of golf for adults, youth and bring to together all those who love the game of golf.
