Natchitoches Police arrest individual for bomb threat at the 911 Center

The Natchitoches Police Department was dispatched to the Natchitoches Parish 911 Center on Dec. 13 around 3:14 pm in reference to a bomb threat.  Officers with the Natchitoches Police Department, deputies with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and fire fighters with the Natchitoches Fire Department searched the building for any suspicious items.  After a thorough search of the property the 911 Center was able to resume normal operations. 

Detectives with the Natchitoches Police Department began their investigation and arrested Debra Hughes (W/F, 56 y.o.a. of Natchitoches) without incident for Terrorizing and Interfering with Emergency Communication.  Hughes was placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
