After 38 years of uninterrupted practice of Pediatrics in Natchitoches, Dr. Christa Rodriguez announces her retirement. She has served the parents and children of the Natchitoches Parish community and the surrounding areas since finishing her Pediatric training at LSUMC in Shreveport in 1985. Out of residency, she worked at the Wise Clinic for Children until the end of 2000, and then founded Cornerstone Pediatrics in 2001.
ln that time there, have been too many long days and sleepless nights to count. She answered calls from patients, emergency rooms, and the nursery night after night. She has saved the lives of many of children and adults who are still walking North Louisiana and has positively influenced the lives of tens of thousands of others.
She has taught the practice of medicine to many nurses, nurse practitioners, medical students, and residents over the years. Dr. Rodriguez’s thorough and compassionate version of Pediatrics will live on for the next hundred years because of her willingness to sacrifice her time, talent, and knowledge.
Along the way, she also found time for her family: husband Hulen of 54 years, one son, Brett, and 9 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Cornerstone Pediatrics and the Natchitoches area is deeply indebted to her passionate and faithful service.
