Over 300 young men and women from high schools throughout Louisiana spent an enjoyable day learning about the opportunities offered by a career in the sciences at NSU’s STEM Day Friday, March 1. The day long event featured hands on demonstrations and fun activities from each of NSU’s scientific and math departments. From tarantulas and snakes to a hair-raising Van der Graaff generator, there were plenty of activities to spark young minds’ interest in the sciences at NSU.
