Natchitoches’ Front Street was transformed into a rollicking street party as the Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce’s Natchitoches Young Professionals hosted its 9th annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl Saturday, March 16. The popular event has become a fun local tradition as over 450 pub crawlers, many in colorful costumes, walked the length of Front Street. The partygoers visited businesses along Front St. to draw a card for the event’s poker run as well as enjoy food and drink specials. There was a mechanical bull to challenge the adventurous as well as Jenga, beer pong, cornhole games and live music from two bands for the revelers.
There was also a bit of lagniappe as the Krewe of Dionysus’ Mardi Gras Parade passed through the pub crawl as it crossed the Church St. Bridge. Volunteers from the Natchitoches’ animal welfare group, FAUNA, staffed the poker run stations and helped out where needed. The group was the NYP’s Non-Profit partner for the event.
