The Natchitoches Parish Council held a brief meeting on March 18 to vote on the following items:

Appoint Patricia Ann Nichols to the Natchitoches Parish Fire District # 5 Board.

First Introduction of proposed Ordinances: 

Introduce Ordinance-005-2024 to amend the Parish Personnel Manual to add additional job duties and responsibilities to the Council Clerk Job description.

Resolutions:

Authorize Sharon Harris, OCS Executive Director to sign the AmeriCorps Senior Companion Program (SCP) renewal application for grant period 7/1/2024-6/30/2027.

Authorize a Resolution of the Natchitoches Parish Council Conferring Signature authority for the Natchitoches Parish courthouse Security Project 50- J35-14-01

Council to adopt a Resolution to request the Parish President and the Highway Department to include the weekly work schedule on the Highway Department Web

Other Agenda Items:

Adopt Ordinance-004-2024 to authorize an act of sale by the Parish of Natchitoches to sell certain adjudicated Properties (Parcels 9040091800 and 9080015700A) by Public Auction.

Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village of Natchez to have road maintenance work done in their municipality.

Authorize the Parish President to award the Courthouse Security Construction contract to the Pat Williams Construction Company and sign all related documents after receiving the required concurrence from the State of Louisiana, Division of Administration, Office of Facility, Planning & Control.
