St. Mary’s High School (SMHS) tennis standout Andrew Kautz won the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Boys Singles Regional Tennis Tournament held April 15-16 and is headed to the Louisiana State tournament in Monroe on April 22-23. Andrew defeated Evangel’s Alexander Jayroe 6-3, 7-6, (7-5) in a heated battle with windy conditions.
Nine players from SMHS qualified for the State Tournament next week: Ainsley Armstrong, Molly Blackmon, Colton Cross, Peyton Foucheaux, Baylea Johnson, Andrew Kautz, Peter Kautz, Anderson Kelly, and Madison McQuiddy.
