
Mayor Ronnie Williams, Jr. was sworn in for his second term, Friday, May 31st at the Natchitoches Events Center.
The Police Department’s Color Guard posted the flag, after which Pastor Brian Small delivered the invocation. In a charming twist, the Pledge of Allegiance was led by the three Williams children. Constance Bush gave a superb rendition of the National Anthem. It was a proud day indeed for Rev. Ronnie Williams, Sr. as he delivered welcoming remarks for his son’s inauguration. Erica Grant gave a compelling spoken word performance as a message of unity.
The mayor was sworn in by Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court, David Stamey, after which the mayor delivered his inaugural address. Rev. Dr. Ail Harris, Jr. then sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing”. The closing prayer was delivered by Bishop William Roberson
